Privacy Policy
Identifying information requested on our course registration forms is required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for accountability of public funds provided to the California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center (CA PTC). Periodically, our funding sources request aggregate data reflecting the demographics of our training audience.
Additionally, educational accreditation for provision of professional continuing education courses requires the CA PTC to collect clinical license numbers. Information that you provide to receive continuing education credit will be coded and stored on a secure server. Once credit has been awarded, these data will be held confidential by the CA PTC.
The CA PTC does not provide data nor sell its mailing lists to commercial entities. In particular, the information you provide will not be distributed or sold for any commercial purposes. If you opt to be included on the CA PTC mailing list, your contact information will be added to internal databases for promotion of future educational and training events sponsored by the CA PTC.
As part of the evaluation of this training, the CA PTC will receive summary reports with aggregated data on the participation and performance of their health care providers. These reports will be shared with Medi-Cal Managed Care, individual health plans, and Indian Health Service, and other health care partners for policy development and program planning.
In addition, if you receive continuing education credit, individual Medi-Cal Managed Care plan(s) that you select in the registration form will receive notification of your achievement. They will not have access to your responses to any specific test or survey question within the online course. Indian Health Service, Tribal and Urban Indian Health Care organizations also will receive the names and contact information for the affiliated clinicians who receive continuing education credit.
