CALIFORNIA STD/HIV PREVENTION TRAINING CENTER

Instructions

You will be presented with two case scenarios, Marķa and Carissa. As you advance through the cases, you will be given information about the patient and asked questions relating to the patient's care. After submitting your response, you will be able to review additional material relating to the topic. Although your responses to these questions will be captured in a database, they will not be used to evaluate your performance in the online training.

A few questions are for survey purposes only; they do not have a right or wrong answer. These can be skipped to save time. Throughout the case you will have the opportunity to view additional material. This material is optional and you will not be tested on it.

After you finish both cases, you will have the opportunity to take a final exam. The exam consists of 20 multiple-choice questions that will be counted toward your eligibility for continuing education credit. You must get at least 80% of the final exam questions correct. See Continuing Education Credits. You may review any part of the cases or download review material for reference before or during the exam. If you do not receive a passing score on the exam, you may retake the exam. This course can be completed in about 30 minutes, however you will be eligible to receive up to two hours of continuing education credit.

If you are a Medi-Cal Managed Care provider, you also may be eligible to receive additional rewards. See Medi-Cal Managed Care Providers.

After completion of the online training, you will have the opportunity to download the Chlamydia Screening and Treatment Practice Guidelines and other material from the Chlamydia Care Quality Improvement Toolbox. See Chlamydia Screening Tools.
